South Carolina Oncology Associates (SCOA) is the only comprehensive cancer treatment center in the state. We provide many cancer care specialties in one convenient location, including medical oncology, radiation oncology and gynecologic oncology. In order to best serve our patients, we also offer a host of essential patient support services to include diagnostic imaging, expanded laboratory services, pharmacy services, and radiology and infusion therapy.
With each patient we encounter, our goal is to always stay focused on the reason we are here; for you. The SCOA staff understands that our patients want to spend quality time with their family, so it is our mission to provide safe and efficient care to all our patients. So while our building and services may evolve, our primary focus will always be to provide state of the art care to patients.
SCOA has been providing quality oncology care for more than 40 years and our specialized cancer center in Columbia, SC is the only one of its kind in the state. Our 17 physicians are the Midlands leaders in collaborative cancer care. Our team includes Medical Oncologists who specialize in the treatment of cancer with chemotherapy and other medicines, Radiation Oncologists who specialize in the treatment of cancer using ionizing radiation and Gynecologic Oncologists who specialize in treating cancers in the female reproductive system.
Together, SCOA’s physicians and compassionate support staff provide unparalleled expertise and quality collaborative care to their patients.
SCOA’s physicians are presenters and partners in clinical trials as well as contributors to many of the industry’s leading scientific publications. We even have physicians on staff at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine where we are entrusted with training interns and residents in the field of oncology.
Comprehensive medical care is essential for an optimal cancer treatment outcome; therefore SCOA provides a number of services to assist patients following their initial cancer diagnosis.
SCOA employs a host of trained professionals to assist patients and their families with chemotherapy education, social work services and financial assistance. We also offer a patient portal for individuals who may need access to printable forms and other medical information that needs to be shared with their primary care physician.
Together, our physicians, oncology certified nurses and clinical staff members are providing individualized care to each and every one of our patients.
